Community Leaders Match Donations

In a year when so many people may find themselves needing help from a community service for the first time, we have seen incredible generosity from those who are able to give this year. This Giving Tuesday, we wanted to again highlight our remarkable match sponsors who together have pledged $175,000 to United Way Niagara in an effort to encourage others who are able to give, to do so, especially this year.

The #UNIGNORABLE Match, sponsored by The Brown Homestead in association with the Humeniuk Foundation pledged $100,000 to match increases from returning donors who give between $1 and $1,199. “We wanted to let people know, that every dollar counts, and if you can give even a little more this year, we encourage you to do so” said Andrew Humeniuk, Executive Director of The Brown Homestead. “This has been a very difficult year for so many people in Niagara and we feel very fortunate to be in a position to help our community through United Way.”

The $50,000 Partridge Family Leadership Match in memory of Peter M. Partridge will match all new leadership gifts of $1,200 or more to United Way, as well as increases of 10% or more from current leadership donors. “Dad was a strong supporter of United Way as well as a number of other local organizations, through this match we honour his legacy as a leader in Niagara,” said Peter W. Partridge, United Way Niagara’s immediate Past Board Chair. The Friends of Golf New Donor Match will match all new gifts up to $25,000. COVID-19 may have led to postponing the Annual United Way Golf Tounraments, but our fabulous volunteer golf committee didn’t want to miss the chance to contribute. The committee worked tirelessly with many of our loyal tournament sponsors to put together this match. Thank you to our amazing and generous sponsors for your incredible generosity in these trying times.
